Celebrated in August, the Aste Nagustia (Semana Grande) is a time of Basque sports events, fireworks, open air concerts and partying. The Aste Nagustia is a celebration of the city’s recovery from the 1813 fire that nearly devastated the whole city. The venue for the celebration is the Iglesia Baroque Santa Maria.
