Once you have decided to invest in San Sebastian real estate, it is advisable to start applying for a foreign mortgage early on, so as to have everything ready in time.
Before applying for a Spanish mortgage you need to ensure you have the following documents:
- Resale Properties: Property deeds of current owner.
- New Building: Declaration deed from developer.
- Valid Passport, residence permit or Spanish ID card (NIE)
- Your last three bank statements (account statement for last three years if you are self-employed)
- Spanish tax declaration for the last financial year (P60 form in UK) or if you are self-employed; tax slip for the last two years.
- Your last three salary slips.
