Here are driving directions to San Sebastian:
From Madrid
Take the A-1 motorway, passing through Burgos and Vitoria-Gasteiz. You can also take the toll road (AP – a) between Burgos and Miranda de Ebro and then take a toll road from Vitoria to Durango. The drive from Madrid to San Sebastian takes about 5 hours.
From Barcelona
Take the A-2 to Zaragoza, then on to Pamplona. This is a 6-hour drive.
From Bilbao
You have several options:
- Take the A-8 toll road. This is a 1-hour drive to San Sebastian.
- Take the national road from Bilbao, but this will take two to three hours.
- You can also take the scenic route, going through the national road through various towns such as Orio, Zumaia, Zarautz, Getaria, and Ondarroa.
From Pamplona
Take the A-15 road, which will need 45 minutes to one hour.
From Paris
Take the A-10 toll road until you reach the border, then take the A-8 to San Sebastian. You can also take the N-10 in France and N-1 once across the border.
